Located in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, Greenville naturally offers many outstanding hiking opportunities. There are plenty of hiking trails located in Greenville and Upstate South Carolina. So grab your backpack and head for the trailhead!
The Jones Gap Trail is a moderate hiking trail in Northern Greenville County along the Middle Saluda River. The hike is fairly easy, (about 5 miles) and snakes its way from Jones Gap State Park all the way up to Caesar's Head State Park.
Raven Cliff Falls is one of the most visited waterfalls and most popular trails in all of South Carolina. The trail provides spectacular views of the falls which plunges over 420 feet off the side of Raven Cliff Mountain. The trail is just short of 9 miles and makes for a great day hike.
Table Rock State Park is one of the premier parks in South Carolina. It features two lakes, camp sites, rv sites, picnic areas, rental cabins, and hiking. Table Rock State Park also serves as the trailhead for the Foothills Trail, and features a trail that reaches the top of Table Rock itself.
